Stephanie Hovey (she/her) - Founder

Stephanie founded Allied Therapy in 2019 after recognizing a systemic gap she could no longer ignore. While working as a speech-language pathologist in hospital-based settings, she saw families waiting far too long for coordinated, accessible care while often navigating fragmented systems without clear guidance or timely support.

Allied Therapy was built to change that.

From the beginning, Stephanie envisioned a collaborative, multidisciplinary model where families could access integrated allied health services through a single, coordinated point of care. What started as a focused clinical response quickly evolved into a purpose-built team delivering structured, high-quality services to children, adults, and families across Nova Scotia.

Under Stephanie’s leadership, Allied Therapy has grown into a stable, team-based organization grounded in integrity, accessibility, and coordinated care. She continues to shape the clinic’s strategic direction while maintaining a focused clinical caseload working with complex neurodevelopmental and communication profiles.

In recognition of her leadership and impact, Stephanie was named one of Atlantic Business Magazine’s Top 50 CEOs in Atlantic Canada in 2025.

Stephanie’s vision has always been to ensure that families feel supported, informed, and never stuck within fragmented systems. She is dedicated to designing accessible, integrated models of care that combine clinical excellence with thoughtful coordination. Through innovation, mentorship, and strategic growth, she continues to shape Allied Therapy into a trusted leader in multidisciplinary support across Atlantic Canada.
