Jessica Maxwell

Jessica is an Occupational Therapist who is passionate about supporting children experiencing behavioural and emotional regulation challenges. Her work focuses on helping children build self-awareness, confidence, connection, and the skills needed to participate more fully in everyday activities that are meaningful to them.

She takes a strengths-based, family-centered approach and values supporting children in ways that reflect their individual identities, interests, and developmental goals. Jessica is particularly committed to recognizing and incorporating each child’s unique cultural background into therapy, ensuring care is meaningful, respectful, and responsive to the lived experiences of the families she works alongside.

Her clinical work includes supporting emotional regulation, self-regulation development, social-emotional growth, participation in daily routines, and helping children develop greater confidence as they navigate home, school, and community environments. Jessica works with children and families across a range of developmental and emotional support needs.

Outside of the clinic, Jessica enjoys staying active through exercise and exploring new workout classes. She spends much of her free time outdoors with her dog, Zola, and enjoys discovering great food whenever she has the chance.

Jessica provides in-person services at our Bedford clinic, community-based services around Halifax, and virtual support across Nova Scotia.
