Bio

Hayley is an Occupational Therapist with experience supporting individuals across the lifespan in paediatric, community, rehabilitation, and neurodevelopmental care settings. Her clinical work has included supporting children with developmental differences, autistic children, adults navigating physical and neurological rehabilitation, and seniors working toward maintaining safety and independence within their daily environments.


Most recently, Hayley has worked as an Occupational Therapist within a preschool autism team, where she has focused on supporting young children through early intervention, functional skill development, and family-centered care. She views caregivers as the experts in their children, and values opportunities to learn alongside families. Hayley is passionate about helping children build the skills needed to participate more fully in everyday routines, play, learning, and community activities.


Prior to this role, Hayley gained broad clinical experience working in rural Nova Scotia across both paediatric and adult rehabilitation settings, including school-based occupational therapy, stroke rehabilitation, traumatic brain injury recovery, hand therapy, chronic pain management, and functional independence planning. This diverse background has shaped a flexible and holistic approach to care that considers both physical and cognitive factors influencing daily participation.


Hayley values collaborative, multidisciplinary care and enjoys working alongside families and interdisciplinary teams to create practical therapy plans that support meaningful long-term outcomes. Her clinical interests include sensory processing, autism support, executive functioning, emotional regulation, fine motor development, and helping individuals build independence in ways that reflect their unique goals and everyday environments. She is particularly passionate about occupational therapy that extends beyond traditional clinic settings and values community-based care that helps individuals participate more fully in real-world environments where daily life happens.


Outside of the clinic, Hayley enjoys playing hockey, crafting, travelling, and spending time with friends and family!
