Location: Allied Therapy – 36 Brookshire Court, Suite 200, Bedford, NS
Time Commitment: Flexible (minimum commitment discussed during onboarding)

Overview
Allied Therapy is a multidisciplinary clinic providing Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, and Behaviour Therapy services to children, youth, and adults across Nova Scotia.
We are seeking motivated and compassionate volunteers who are interested in gaining experience in a collaborative, client-centered clinical environment. This opportunity is ideal for students or individuals pursuing careers in allied health, education, psychology, social work, healthcare administration, or related fields.
Volunteers will work alongside our team of therapists and administrative staff to support clinic operations, therapeutic programming, and community engagement initiatives.
What You May Be Involved In

Clinical & Program Support

Assisting therapists with preparation of materials and activities

Supporting group programs, workshops, or seasonal camps
-
Helping organize therapy spaces and resources
-
Observing interdisciplinary collaboration in practice
Client Experience Support
-
Welcoming families and helping maintain a warm, organized clinic environment

Assisting with child-friendly activities in waiting areas (when appropriate)
-
Supporting accessibility and inclusive practices
Administrative & Project Support

Assisting with resource development or organization
-
Helping prepare educational materials
-
Supporting special projects, outreach events, or community initiatives
Volunteer responsibilities will be matched to your interests, skills, and the clinic’s current needs.
What We’re Looking For

Compassionate and comfortable working with children and families

Professional, reliable, and respectful of confidentiality

Interested in pediatric development, neurodiversity, and collaborative care
-
Eager to learn in a fast-paced, team-based environment
Experience working with children, individuals with disabilities, or in healthcare settings is an asset, but not required.
