Bio
Samantha is a Speech-Language Pathologist who is deeply passionate about supporting access to communication and feeding for individuals across the lifespan.
As an AuDHD (Autistic and ADHD) clinician, Sam brings a deeply empathetic, first-hand understanding of sensory preferences, neurodivergent language processing, and executive dysfunction into her practice, creating an inherently validating space for her clients.
Sam enjoys supporting individuals with complex communication and physical needs. She has extensive experience in Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC), ensuring every client has a voice, and provides expert care in post-stroke rehabilitation, voice disorders, swallowing difficulties (dysphagia), and progressive neurological conditions.
Whether navigating degenerative changes or recovering from an acute injury, Sam focuses on functional, life-enhancing outcomes.
In her pediatric and developmental work, Sam is a strong proponent of bilingualism and bimodalism. She is able to communicate in American Sign Language (ASL) and seamlessly integrates sign, speech, and high-tech communication systems to help clients express themselves fully in their preferred modalities.
Clients and families value Sam’s neurodiversity-affirming approach, her clinical versatility, and her dedication to breaking down barriers to connection and nourishment. She is known for creating practical, client-centered strategies that respect individual sensory profiles and lifestyle goals.
When she isn't in the clinic, Sam can be found building intricate Lego structures or training in Muay Thai.
Sam provides comprehensive services both in-clinic and virtually. Sam is base in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
