About Camryn
Camryn Rafuse is a Provisional Occupational Therapist who supports children and adults in building confidence, developing new skills, and becoming more independent in the activities that are meaningful to them. She works collaboratively with clients and families to understand what is happening in everyday life and identify practical supports that reflect each person's strengths, needs, routines, and goals.
Camryn's clinical interests include sensory processing and regulation, emotional regulation, executive functioning, fine and gross motor development, activities of daily living, self-care, independence, and play skills. She considers not only the skill someone is working toward, but also the environment, routines, sensory needs, and other factors that may be making participation easier or more difficult.
For Camryn, Occupational Therapy is not about changing who someone is. She believes in understanding each person's unique strengths and needs and finding strategies that help them feel more regulated, confident, and successful in their everyday environments.
Building independence is also an important part of Camryn's practice. Whether someone is developing self-care skills, participating in play, navigating everyday routines, or working toward greater independence, she focuses on goals that have practical meaning in the person's actual life.
Camryn values family-centred care and recognizes that parents and caregivers bring essential knowledge about their child and family. She works collaboratively with families so that goals and strategies reflect what matters to them and can realistically be incorporated into everyday routines.
Her approach is caring, strengths-based, and relationship-focused. Camryn wants clients and families to know that she genuinely cares about the challenges they bring to therapy while also recognizing the strengths they already have.
Most importantly, Camryn wants families to feel safe and supported. She values creating genuine, trusting relationships and making therapy a positive and enjoyable experience where clients can build confidence while working toward meaningful goals.
Outside of work, Camryn enjoys travelling, trying new recipes, swimming, and spending time with family and friends.
