About This Funding Program

The Nova Scotia Tuition Support Program provides partial tuition funding for eligible students attending designated special education private schools. It supports students with diagnosed ADHD, autism or learning disabilities who meet additional program requirements, including relevant educational history, program planning and school placement criteria. For 2026–27, the published basic funding unit is $15,900, paid directly to the designated school; income-based supplements may apply. Funding typically covers up to three years, with a possible additional fourth year in defined circumstances. This is a school tuition program, not a direct private therapy reimbursement program.

How Allied Therapy Can Help

Allied Therapy may support families with speech and language, functional communication, AAC, executive functioning strategies, sensory and daily living skills, behaviour support and emotional well-being. With appropriate consent, clinicians can collaborate with the student’s caregivers and education team. Clinical services and reports are separate from Tuition Support Program school funding and require their own payment arrangements.

How Funding Works

Families apply to the Nova Scotia Tuition Support Program and separately arrange admission to a designated school. Check the official program eligibility and documentation requirements, including diagnosis and prior school-based planning. The program pays approved tuition funding directly to the designated school.

If families want additional Allied Therapy services, they may contact Allied for service options and separate insurance or funding arrangements. Allied Therapy does not determine Tuition Support Program eligibility.

Who Can Access or Refer

Parents, guardians, caregivers, schools, school-based support teams, physicians, psychologists and community partners may contact Allied Therapy about clinical services. Tuition Support Program applications are submitted by eligible families under provincial procedures.
