Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia (Hybrid: Clinic, Community, and Virtual)

Type of employment: Flexible for the right therapist! We are open to full time and part time employees joining our team.

Why Allied Therapy?

If you are a Speech-Language Pathologist in Nova Scotia or looking to return home, you may be asking, "What’s next for me in my career?"

We know many SLPs are thinking:

  • "I’m comfortable in my current role, but I’m not sure I’m really using all my skills."

  • "What if I leave and lose the team support I’ve built?"

  • "Will I actually have the chance to grow and develop as a clinician?"

Here’s what we want you to know:

At Allied Therapy, you don’t have to choose between being supported and being challenged. We are a growing, forward-thinking team that values growth, creativity, and collaboration. Whether you’re newer to the field or experienced, you’ll have opportunities to build confidence, grow your skill set, and contribute to a team that cares about doing great work for families.

What Makes This Role Different

  • Flexibility and variety - work in clinic, community settings, and virtually, depending on your clients' needs and your preferences.

  • A role where you can use all of your training - no cookie-cutter therapy, but real solutions created by you with full support from a multidisciplinary team.

  • Real professional development - weekly team learning, one-on-one mentorship, and a safe environment to ask questions and grow.

  • A growing and secure company - leadership committed to long-term success and meaningful work, with new opportunities opening regularly.

  • A collaborative, positive work culture - a place where you’ll feel valued and heard.

  • Teach and coach families to carry over strategies beyond therapy sessions.

  • Participate in weekly professional development and monthly team meetings to grow professionally and stay connected.

  • Provide occasional educational programming in the community to promote best practices and raise awareness.

What You Bring to the Team

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

  • Registered and in good standing with the Nova Scotia Regulator of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists (NSRASLP).

  • Experience working with children and adults, including those with complex needs.

  • Interest or experience in supporting neurodivergent populations and using a trauma-informed approach.

  • Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and collaboration skills.

  • Computer literacy and willingness to learn tools like JaneApp.

  • A valid driver’s license, clear Criminal Record Check, and Child Abuse Registry.

Bonus skills: Fluency in French, Arabic, or Cantonese to better serve our diverse community.

How You’ll Know You’re Successful Here

  • You feel supported and confident in your work, even as you take on new challenges.

  • Your clients and families feel understood and engaged in their therapy process.

  • You are learning and growing through regular professional development and mentorship.

  • You are part of a collaborative, engaged team that works together and celebrates each other’s successes.

Worried About Making a Change? Here’s Why You Can Say Yes

"I’m comfortable where I am." Comfort is good, but are you growing? Here, we help you build your skills and confidence while supporting your well-being and professional goals.

"I’m afraid to leave my current team." We understand. That’s why we are intentional about building a supportive team that collaborates and has each other’s backs. You will never be left on your own to figure things out.

"Will I get real professional development?" Yes. Professional development isn’t optional here - it’s built into how we work. With weekly learning, mentorship, and real opportunities to develop new skills, you’ll grow as a clinician and as a professional.
