Therapy at Home Across Halifax and Nova Scotia

Allied Therapy offers select in-home Speech-Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Behaviour Therapy, ADHD and executive functioning support, feeding services, AAC support, and related supports for clients who benefit from receiving therapy in their own environment.

Home-based therapy allows our therapists to see the routines, spaces, and everyday activities that matter to the client. This can be especially helpful when support is focused on daily living skills, sensory regulation, communication, behaviour, feeding, home safety, routines, or caregiver strategies.

Depending on clinician availability, location, and the type of service needed, appointments may be available in the home or community across parts of Halifax Regional Municipality and Nova Scotia.

Our goal is to make therapy easier to access while providing practical, neurodivergent-affirming strategies that work in the places where everyday life actually happens.

Home & Community Therapy

Nova Scotia, Canada

Therapy can sometimes happen where everyday life happens; at home, school, daycare, work or in the community.

No

About this location:

Sometimes the most useful place for therapy is the place where everyday life is actually happening.

Depending on the service, your goals, therapist availability and location, Allied Therapy may provide support in homes, schools, daycares, workplaces or other community settings. This can help our therapists better understand the routines, environments and real-life situations that matter to you or your family.

Community-based care may be helpful when goals involve everyday participation, communication, routines, regulation, independence, mobility, behaviour or navigating a particular environment.

You do not need to know whether community-based therapy is the right option before contacting us. Tell us what is happening and what you are hoping to make easier. Our team will help determine the most appropriate service and setting.

Who It's For:
